About Paul Sansome

I am a professional landscape and wildlife photographer based near Winchester in Hampshire, England. The inspiration for my photography comes from a love of both the tranquillity and wildness of nature. Whilst adoring every minute of my experiences in the wilder landscapes of Britain, such as the Scottish Highlands, many of my most successful images have been photographed much closer to home. Often there is some physical endurance required to obtain my photographs but this all adds to the sense of satisfaction when I view the images for the first time.

I concentrate on selling my limited edition photographs direct to the public and also providing images for editorial, advertising and greetings card use. My international reputation was greatly enhanced by an invitation from Agfa to feature a portfolio of my photography on their website (even though I have
not used their films for many years) and my photographs now hang in many countries around the
world such as New Zealand, Australia, USA, Canada, Japan, Italy, Spain and France.

Most of the photography that you see on this website was performed with a traditional SLR camera using 35mm slide film. In September 2006 I switched to shooting with a digital camera so more of these shots are now making their way on to the website. Whilst embracing some of the benefits of digital manipulation I am ethically opposed to presenting a scene in a way in which it was not seen when I stood in front of it. I am committed to providing the highest quality product so that the artwork that you buy will last a lifetime.
