"I adore the Yorkshire Dales, with large hills providing the backdrop for the
patterns
of drystone-walled fields, and they undoubtedly offer an
inexhaustable opportunity for
photography. I had stayed in the Dales
on several occasions and had always been
frustrated
by the lack of
good photographic light. This time I awoke early on a summer
morning
to be greeted by mist lying in the valleys. This view is just to the west
of
Pateley
Bridge. I finally felt as though I had done justice to this
beautiful region".
