Walnut Grove, Val Dorcia, Tuscany

"It is often said that you can only get memorable photographs at the
beginning and end of the day. Here, in Tuscany, I shot this grove right
in the middle of the day. In fact, even in early May it was far too hot for
my liking and this small wood provided some respite from the heat, both
providing some shade but also catching a most pleasant breeze. It is the
subtle movement of grasses and branches, blown in that breeze, that
helps me to enjoy this photograph".
